I’m a lifelong learner, and my career is devoted to helping people learn something new.

At Shortridge High School, I teach the Personal and Professional Skills (PPS) course (formerly known as Approaches to Learning). I also support scholars as they complete their reflective project. Both PPS and the reflective project are part of the IB Career Programme core. My goal is to provide meaningful, real-world tools and experiences that help scholars build the skills and network they’ll need for a successful start in their lives after high school.

Before joining the Shortridge staff in September 2019, I was a writer and editor, specializing in helping people learn new technologies and helping professionals polish their writing. During that time, I also had opportunities to teach language arts at Lawrence North High School and Broad Ripple High School and creative writing workshops at Butler University and Indiana Academy for Science, Mathematics, and Humanities.

Outside of work, I love to read and write, garden, and explore cities, parks, and forests with my family.

My last name rhymes with pulse.
