Hi there! I have spent the last 11 years teaching various subjects to a wide range of age groups, and I’m excited to continue my journey here at Shortridge High!

Though there are only four of us, my family is very active. When I’m not racing to watch one of my sons play baseball, test for the next Tae Kwon Do belt, or earn the next Cub Scout badge, I love to read. When I was younger, reading was my escape; it was also the way I learned about the world. As an adult, I continue this exploration both through my continued love of reading, and also through my love for new experiences via new travel destinations. Sometimes that has meant a drive to DC to see some of our own country’s historic treasures, other times that has entailed climbing up waterfalls in a protected rainforest or hiking up the side of Mt Vesuvius in Italy, where you can see smoke tendrils curling off the summit. I hope to inspire a similar love, for reading and exploring, in my students.
