Ms. Maggie Coyne
I was born in Providence, RI and grew up in nearby Cranston, RI through most of elementary school. My family then moved to Little Rock, AR, where we lived through my middle school years. We then moved on to the Birmingham, AL area, where I completed high school. Following graduation, I moved to Indiana to attend DePauw University, graduating after 3 years in 1999.

After I graduated from DePauw, I got married, and my husband and I lived in Terre Haute, IN, for a few years, where I went back to school to get my teaching license. Since then, we have lived in Crawfordsville, Lebanon and finally settled in Indianapolis, where we have lived for about 15 years. I’ve taught math and/or physics at several different schools around the Indianapolis metro area, including the Charles A Tindley Accelerated School, Noblesville High School, The Independence Academy and Northwest High School. I am excited to now call Shortridge High School my home. In addition to teaching MYP and IB Physics, I have also become involved in coaching the robotics team.

My personal hobbies include crocheting, studying American Sign Language and a game called Ingress, for which I sometimes travel around the country to attend events called Anomalies. I live on the Northwest side of Indianapolis, near Eagle Creek Park, with my husband and our 3 cats.
