I am excited to start my first year teaching math at Shortridge High School. Shortridge marks a new phase in my teaching career — teaching high school. Prior to joining the teaching staff here, I worked as a middle school math teacher at Arlington Middle School and Stephen Foster School 67.
My goal is to approach my students with creativity, flexibility, openness, care, and compassion.
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Xavier University of Louisiana. Early in my career, I worked as a Systems Analyst before transitioning to teaching. Currently, I am working towards a Master of Arts degree in Teaching at Marian University.
Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, gardening, and spending time with my husband, our three children, and Coco, our family dog. I especially love working on puzzles with my family and our family game nights.
