This fall, I will be joining the staff of Shortridge High School as a Special Education Life Skills Assistant. I recently graduated with a master’s in Educational Psychology from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. During the completion of my degree, I worked with students with disabilities for 2.5 years. While the majority of my graduate training emphasized assessment and consultation, I find the most enjoyment working hands-on with students.

I am a Hoosier through and through. I was born and raised in a small town near South Bend, Indiana. After graduating from high school, I attended Indiana University–Bloomington and competed for the cross country and track and field teams. While I have lived in Indiana for the majority of my life, this is my first time living in Indianapolis.

In my spare time, you will rarely find me without my two rescue dogs. We love to be outdoors as much as possible. Running still brings me joy, and I have a goal of running the Chicago marathon in 2021. I also enjoy spending time with my nieces and nephews (seven and counting!). If you cannot find me doing any of the above, I am most likely exploring all the city has to offer with my friends.
