Carrie is an Indianapolis native and graduate of Indiana University where she received a B.A. in theatre and drama. Carrie went on to study theatre at The Shakespeare Theatre in Washington D.C. and The Atlantic Theatre Company in Manhattan. Carrie obtained her masters degree in effective teaching and leadership from Butler University in May of 2018.

Carrie’s favorite acting roles include: Kitty in ​Six Degrees of Separation​, Adam in ​As You Like It​, Desdemona in ​Othello​, Nan in ​Three Days of Rain​, Nancy in Recent Tragic Events​, and Kristine in ​A Chorus Line​. Carrie’s directing credits include but are not limited to: ​You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown, Still Life with Iris, Beauty and the Beast,​ ​Grease, Annie, The Diviners, Bang-Bang You’re Dead, Romeo and Juliet, Servant of Two Masters, Hairspray, The Wiz, Godpsell, The Katrina Project: Hell in High Water, All in the Timing, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare: Abridged, The Servant of Two Masters, and Hush: An Interview with America.

Carrie is a recipient of the National Society of Arts and Letters scholarship for outstanding dramatic performance. Carrie received multiple top ten teacher recognition awards during her time at Warren Central High School, was a top ten teacher of the year finalist for IPS in 2017, and was an Encore Awards nominee for outstanding actress. She is married to her best friend and partner Eric (Shortridge Alum) and is the proud mother to Lucas and Julia.

Carrie’s favorite play is Thornton Wilder’s ​Our Town​ because it teaches the audience about the simplicity and complicated nature of love and life.
