2020-2021 Important Updates

First Day. Indianapolis Public Schools will begin the 2020–21 school year on August 3, 2020, as originally planned, for all district students and staff. While the district welcomes all students back into classrooms, IPS is offering learning models that include both full in-person or remote learning (e-learning) options to ensure that our families have the ability to choose the model that works best for their student. Read more here.

Full-Time Remote Learning. For students in high school, submitting the Remote Learning Registration Form confirms your student will not attend in-person classes for the first semester of the 2020-21 school year (August 3 – December 17). Read more here. The full plan is here.

Parent Communication. IPS has moved to a new communication system. You can participate in this free service: text “Y” or “Yes” to 67587. You can also opt out of these messages at any time by simply replying to one of our messages with “Stop.” Read more here.

IPS Town Hall. Zoom link for families or community members to register for a Town Hall Meeting about next school year at 6:30 p.m. this Monday, July 13.
