Information about DP Mock Exams can be found here
In order to help prepare for their official IB exams, seniors in the IB Diploma program track will take mock IB exams beginning next week. Exams are mandatory and will take place February 18-25.
These exams will help students and faculty assess where they need to focus their studies for the upcoming IB exams, which take place in May. We hope these mock exams will also relieve IB and final exam testing anxiety by giving students an opportunity to experience the exam environment and examples of all exams before the “real” tests take place in May. Mock exam scores will contribute to students’ semester grades as well as to their predicted scores, which are submitted to IB.
The exam schedule is below. Please note that regular senior DP classes will not meet during exam days. Instead, during breaks before, after, and in between exams, students will engage in studying and teacher-led activities (stress relief, study strategies, etc.) in the media center.
Tuesday, February 18 Geography and music
Wednesday, February 19 History
Thursday, February 20 Biology, chemistry, and physics
Friday, February 21 Math studies and mathematics
Monday, February 24 Spanish, French, and Mandarin
Tuesday, February 25 English
During mock exam week, students should focus on getting at least eight hours of sleep a night; eating healthy, protein-filled foods; and arriving prepared for exams (bring black pens, pencils, erasers, calculators, etc.). Students should report at 9:00 am to the new gym. Additional exam details, including individual paper start and end times, are posted on the school calendar.
