Dear Gambold Families,

Important this week!

-Goodwill Drive: This is the last week! We are now in 6th place in the Goodwill drive. If you haven’t already, please look around your home and ask your family and friends for clothes, toys, books and household items no longer used and donate to Goodwill. You can take your donation to any Goodwill Donation Center and tell them you are supporting Gambold High School for the Donation Drive. The deadline is February 1st.

– In an effort to improve system practices, Indianapolis Public Schools is conducting a Parent Survey. We value your opinion and ask that you take the time to complete this survey. In order to complete the survey, please go to:

Please be assured that your responses to this survey will be anonymous. Your honest opinion is appreciated. Please complete by Feb 13th. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

Parent Involvement Tips of the Week!

Consider helping your scholar find a paid job this summer. The lessons learned from holding a job and earning a paycheck are valuable life skills that will serve them well.

One great option is the Keep Indianapolis Beautiful Youth Tree Team. Many Gambold Schlors have worked with this program and have learned and grown in unexpected ways. For more information click here

Another great opportunity is Teen Works. This paid employment program gives teens the chance to earn a paycheck but the TeenWorks experience is so much more than a job. Participating teens build professional resumes, gain job skills for the future, participate in volunteer projects to give back to the community, and receive hands-on instruction to build key college and career readiness skills in areas like technology, finances, and leadership. -Scholars who took the PSAT received Score Reports before the Winter Break. We now have a guide for you to understanding and using that information. To access the presentation, go to Click Guidance, testing, and PSAT. Click on the title and wait (maybe a long time) for the picture to pop up. Click on the picture to play the video.
