Dear Gambold Families,

Parent Involvement Tips of the Week!

– Report cards will be distributed at the end of the day tomorrow Dec 18th. The full report can be viewed on ManageBac. Ask your scholar for the report and discuss their progress with them.

– Spend some time together this holiday break. Talking about your values and what is important to you as a family  is very rewarding. When they are out of the house and raising their own families, it won’t be the ‘presents’ under the tree they remember but your ‘presence’ in their lives.

– The Goodwill Donation Drive kicks off on Jan 1st and goes until Feb 1st. Turn that resolution to organize your house and simplify your life into a donation to Goodwill. Gambold Prep is competing against other township schools to be the team that collects the most donations per student. All you have to do is find two 13 gallon bags of cloths, housewares, toys, games, and/or books and take them to any Goodwill donation center in Central Indiana. Tell them you are supporting Gambold Prep and we get the credit for your donation. Tell all your family and friends too!

College Prep Tip of the Week!

-PSAT score reports will be returned to those scholars who took the test on Thursday, December 18. Go to the SAT/ACT page on the Guidance page at http://gamboldprep.com and click on the PSAT link to learn more about what your scholar’s scores mean and to learn about the resources available to your scholar through My College Quickstart.

– Spring 2015 registration for the Center for Leadership Development Self-Discovery program is open. Scholars in grades 10-12 are eligible to enroll. Gambold Prep highly encourages all scholars to participate in this CLD program. Any scholar interested in registering should do so for the Wednesday evening program session as transportation will be provided from Gambold Prep to CLD and from CLD to home following the program each week. With the completion of the Self-Discovery and College Prep programs scholars qualify to potentially earn scholarships to a variety of CLD partner colleges. For more information and to register please go to http://www.cldinc.org/self-discovery-career-exploration.asp.
