We are privileged to welcome your child to our school. It is our goal to provide each child with a safe and loving environment so they can learn and mature appropriately.

Ralph Waldo Emerson Families and Staff: We have learned of a confirmed case of COVID-19 at Ralph Waldo Emerson. The diagnosed individual is in self-isolation. The symptoms of COVID-19 are similar to the regular seasonal influenza and include fever, coughing and shortness of breath. Some have reported additional symptoms, such as a runny nose, sore throat, nausea, lethargy, lack of appetite, vomiting and diarrhea. If a student or staff member is experiencing any of these symptoms, they should stay home and contact their health care provider. During the pandemic, we ask you to adhere to the following advice to protect yourself, your family and the community: • Wear a protective mask when in public. • Maintain proper social distancing. • Wash your hands and/or use hand sanitizer regularly. • If you experience any symptoms related to COVID-19, stay home and call your doctor. Covid vaccination opportunityOn Wednesday, April 7th, Shepherd will be hosting a COVID Vaccine clinic. Anyone over the age of 18 is eligible to sign up. We will be administering the Moderna shot for this clinic, which is a two shot vaccine. Individuals who sign up for the first shot MUST be available for the second dose on May 5th (times TBD).
