At Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS), safety is a key priority. That’s why we are introducing IPS Take Care, Be Aware for all IPS students and families.
This initiative includes in-class lessons about how to stay safe while traveling to and from school, new safety equipment for schools and updated safety training for school staff.
With our partners including Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department and Health by Design, students and staff will learn how to take care and be aware during this school year and beyond.
All grade level teachers and specials should be discussing Safety: School, Home, Pedestrian, Bus, Car and Bike Riders.
