Answer: Yes! Indianapolis Public Schools has engaged Tutored by Teachers to provide free tutoring for students at no cost to you. Tutored by Teachers is a public benefit company that provides small-group tutoring by certified teachers.

Answer: Any registered student who is in a district-managed school is eligible for tutoring. You may reference the drop-down list of the sign-up form to confirm if your school is eligible. IPS innovation schools, charter schools, and other non-IPS schools received separate ESSER allocations that they can use for services like tutoring for students in their schools. If your child is at one of these schools and you would like to see a similar program made available, please contact your school administrator.

Answer: IPS and Tutored by Teachers will collect and review your information, and reach out directly to you and your child with details about the program well in advance of the October 3, 2022 program start date.

Answer: Your child will virtually meet in small groups of no more than 3 students with a highly qualified, experienced teacher who will focus on Math and English for one hour each. Your child can participate in these sessions from anywhere with a laptop or tablet and internet access.

Answer: Your child will be enrolled in tutoring for the School Year 2022-2023.
