Starting in the 2023-24 school year, Eleanor Skillen School 34 is merging with Raymond F. Brandes School 65, creating a vibrant, newly consolidated Pre-K-5 school. Raymond F. Brandes School 65 will not be an operational school building after the 2022-23 school year. This transition is part of the Rebuilding Stronger Plan, an initiative by the IPS to consolidate its schools into zones, streamline resources, and ensure consistent, high-quality education across the district.

We will reconfigure to serve grades Pre-K–5. This change is part of an overall plan to ensure the stability of school assignments for our students and provide them with the most supportive, consistent learning environment possible.

We understand that transitions can be challenging, and we’re committed to making this process as smooth and positive as possible for our students, parents, and staff. We invite you to stay updated, ask questions, and provide feedback throughout this process.
