Here are some "Need to Knows" for the first days back to school.
--Doors open at 9am. Bus riders will come to the front doors and car riders and walkers should come to the door off of Richland, Door 8.
--The tardy bell will ring at 9:20.
--Unfortunately, due to Covid, family members cannot walk students into the building but we will have staff members waiting to help your children find their classrooms.
--Dismissal will start at 3:55 for any walker or carrider that has a parent/ family member who is coming to pick them up. All adults must have an ID on them to verify they are allowed to pick up the students.
--Any 3rd grade walkers who have parent permission to walk home alone will be released between 4:05 and 4:10. We do not allow younger students to walk home without an older sibling.
--4th-8th grade students may walk to the building to pick up their siblings to walk them home.
--IPS does have a uniform policy, but for the first week we are having a "no uniform week." We will be send out information about a few changes that are being made to the uniform policy that will be district wide once they have been approved, but for now, do not worry about uniforms.
--Students who are staying virtual will not need to log on to their Teams meetings until 9:45 this week. Starting October 19th they will log on at 9:25.
--Students should bring their laptops, ipads and any reading and math books they have at home to school with them Monday.
--The only supplies we are asking for are headphones or earbuds and for the students to wear a mask to school. We will provide one mask but it is asked that all students have 3 other masks as well. ...
