IPS School Options for the 2024–25 School Year

Remember, when applying to an IPS school for the 2024–25 school year, that the district will have moved to dedicated elementary and middle schools and new educational models. The district also offers a variety of innovation and high school options. Learn about these exciting choices and more below:

Through the Rebuilding Stronger plan, IPS has created educational models that most of the district’s elementary and middle schools will offer.

IPS high schools are open to students in all zones. Educational models and offerings at our district high schools vary.

Here’s a list of our district and innovation high schools:

* IPS does not currently provide transportation to these Innovation programs and parents should contact the school or Enroll Indy for more information about transportation.

These Innovation Network Schools are part of the IPS portfolio of schools, but don’t necessarily offer the new educational models created through the Rebuilding Stronger plan.

The four (4) zones begins with the 2024-25 school year. Each zone would include between 12 to 15 schools and programs.

The new zone map benefits students and families by:

  • Providing a more equitable geographic distribution of high performing and high demand programming.
  • Growing and replicating schools with proven track records of success.
  • Addressing the inequities that may exist in the school proximity boundary policy.
  • Creating conditions that stabilize student populations and decrease mobility.

Please Note: Events are subject to change and will be added periodically.

The IPS enrollment window for the 2024–25 school year opens Nov. 1, and the district is hosting its annual Showcase of Schools in person to ensure families can explore their academic options. Showcase of Schools is slated to occur in early-November, with a date being finalized soon.

This year, instead of schools setting up information booths in one location, during Showcase of Schools all IPS schools will be open to current and future IPS families to engage in:

  • Principal meet-and-greet
  • School educational model activities
  • Building tours
  • Enrollment assistance and opportunities

Enrollment can be completed onsite at each school, or via the OneMatch App through Enroll Indy.

Remember that for the 2024–25 school year, IPS — through its Rebuilding Stronger plan — families will have access to dedicated elementary (Grades Pre-K–5) and middle (Grades 6–7) schools featuring exciting educational models, along a variety with innovation schools and high schools offering a variety of academic options.
