Kathleen Miller proudly serves as the principal of the Center for Inquiry at School 84. Mrs. Miller joined IPS in 2012 as an assistant principal and in 2013 became a principal of a Pre-K through 6th grade building. Kathleen has been at CFI 84 since 2016. Prior to IPS, Mrs. Miller taught in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Mrs. Miller earned her bachelor degree in Communication Studies and Spanish from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina and a graduate certificate of Education from the University of North Carolina Charlotte. She earned her master’s degree in school leadership from Columbia University in New York City. Mrs. Miller is also a four-time recipient of the Sontag Prize in Urban Education.
Mrs. Miller loves being a part of the CFI family and feels privileged to work alongside so many wonderful educators, students, and families. She believes in the strength of public schools and is committed to ensuring students are prepared to meet and exceed state standards through rigorous and engaging instruction. She is focused on meeting student social and emotional needs as well as maintaining high expectations for every student. Mrs. Miller would like to thank everyone for choosing CFI 84 as their school community, and she looks forward to developing productive partnerships with all community members to support our children.
