I was raised in the distinctive architectural haven that is Columbus, IN. Upon graduation from high school, I attended college at Indiana University Bloomington, where I majored in elementary education and environmental management. Upon graduation I worked at the IU Health Bloomington hospital laboratory.
My educational journey started with an exciting role as a site director for the YMCA before and after care programs in Warren Township where I met my husband. Soon after, I was employed by the school district of Warren Township where I taught sixth grade math and science for six years while earning my master’s degree in Elementary Education and my certification in gifted education. This year, I am thrilled to be working at CFI 27 for the IB experience.
Outside of school I enjoy all activities outdoors. My husband, stepson, and I love camping in our pop-up camper and making delicious five-star campfire meals. I have dabbled a bit in tree and bird identification for species in central Indiana. I also like relaxing with a hot cup of black coffee and a non-fiction read.
