Duvall, Hilary (Principal)

Hello and welcome to Center for Inquiry 27!  My name is Mrs. Hilary Duvall, and I am the proud principal of our wonderful school. I come to CFI 27 with fourteen years of experience in education. From 2021-2023, I served as the Assistant Principal at Raymond F. Brandes School 65 where we showcased the highest student achievement for NWEA in our learning community both years.  Before coming to IPS, I was an Assistant Principal for two years in a small rural corporation northeast of Indianapolis.  I’ve also worked as an IB district literacy coach and was a classroom teacher for eight years.  Additionally, I taught ESL evening classes and had over twenty countries represented in my classroom during that time!

I believe that it’s our job as educators to cultivate a learning environment where students are engaged, inspired, and empowered. Additionally, I believe school is not just a place for academic learning, but that we must provide learning opportunities to practice social, emotional, and behavioral skills in order to ensure our students are well rounded and ready for the next level.

If I’m not at school, I’m most likely at the ballpark cheering on my daughter, Lyla, or son, Jackson, and I also enjoy traveling with my husband, Nick.
