Hello, my name is Emily Alfonso and my journey at CFI 27 began in August 2018 when my husband and I relocated to Indianapolis from Columbus, Ohio. I graduated from THE Ohio State University in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in history. I then continued my education at Ashland University where I earned my teaching certification in secondary social studies. I taught 9th grade World History in Ohio before coming to be the Individuals and Societies teacher at 27!
When I am not in the classroom, I spend time with my family and friends. I enjoy riding my horse, trying out new restaurants, watching Ohio State football, and traveling most of all. I lived in Hungary during my undergraduate studies, and have visited 16 countries and almost all 50 states (see you soon Hawaii and Alaska!) When we aren’t traveling you can find my family and I walking our boxer around our neighborhood or being entertained by our grumpy pet pig!
