I am excited to be the Principal at Center for Inquiry School 2. I have been a CFI educator since 2000. While at CFI I have been a student teacher, classroom teacher, academic coach, assistant principal and now principal.
I got my first degree in Sports Management from the University of Dayton. While at UD I also played Division I women’s intercollegiate volleyball. After graduating from UD I spent a few years as an assistant volleyball coach at Wittenberg University and also worked at the Dayton Jewish Community Center.
I then went back to school and got a degree in elementary education from Indiana University Purdue University at Indianapolis. It was there that I had my first experience with CFI. I did my undergraduate coursework and student teaching with CFI when it was just a wing of another IPS building. I spent one year in Decatur Township and then came back to IPS in 2000 and have remained here ever since.
I completed my MBAE at the University of Indianapolis and was fortunate to be selected as a Woodrow Wilson Fellow in Education Leadership.
While teaching at CFI I have had many opportunities to present at the district, state, national and international levels. In 2013 I traveled with two colleagues to China for two weeks to present on inquiry in the classroom. I have also co-authored several articles around various topics in education.
I live on the southside with my husband and two daughters. I spend my free time reading books, gardening, traveling and relaxing with friends and family.
