Sunday Evening Phone Message for 2.9.20

  • Mission moment: Our school’s mission is inspiring children to transform the world.  This past week, Mrs. Atkinson’s class visited several historical markers in Indianapolis that they researched in class, including the sites of Robert F. Kennedy’s speech on the death of Martin Luther King, the Benjamin Harrison home, and the site of Washington Park Baseball, home of the 1st game of the Negro National League in Indianapolis. While on the field trip, one of our students expressed how surprised she was to find out that she had driven past such important historical sites so many times without even knowing it.
