Sunday Evening Phone Message for 8.18.19

  • We are collecting textbook fees at this time. There is support available for families who need it. Please reach out to April Barber at barbera@myips.org if you need assistance.
  • Our first Boltdog Booster meeting is Tuesday August 20th from 6-7:30 in the cafeteria. All parents and guardians are welcome. We hope you’ll join us to learn about the various committees and ways that you can support our school. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer childcare during this first meeting.
  • Our booster club is overseen by a governing council. Currently we have 3 positions to fill. We have two at-large seats and we are also looking for a financial director. The at-large seats would support the work of the governing council and add their voices to our discussions. The financial director is like a treasurer. You do not have to be a formally trained accountant for this role…if you manage your family budget and are good with spreadsheets then you are qualified! If you are interested in these positions you can email boltdogboosters55@gmail.com or just show up at the meeting on August 20th!
  • 21st century college update 7th grade students: Free tuition for qualifying students. Rep will be here to help register.
  • K-5 Curriculum Night is this Wednesday August 21st at 6 pm. This is an adults only evening. Come to learn about the curriculum for your child’s grade level. There will be presentations for each grade level at 6 and the again at 6:45 to accommodate families with siblings. We will be selling spirit wear! We can accept cash or check.
  • Save the Date for our upcoming curriculum nights: Middle school curriculum night and social for students as well as PreK Curriculum night are on August 28th at 6!
  • The PreK night is an adults only night to learn about the school year. The middle school night is for parents and students. It will be an opportunity for students to socialize and to get information about the year. Pizza and ice cream will be provided for the middle school event.
