Indianapolis Public Schools Transportation employees were pleasantly surprised on the morning of December 17 when they were greeted with a hot breakfast provided by Superintendent Dr. Lewis D. Ferebee and staff. Two Facilities Management Division workers woke up bright and early to ensure the Transportation employees received a McDonalds breakfast meal complete with orange juice.
“The breakfast caught me by surprise, but it was delicious and everyone enjoyed it,” says Bus Driver Venitha Coleman.
Diane Motley, Bus Attendant of 12 years says, “It was right on time, I had my coffee ready and the breakfast went great with it. I just want to say thank you to Dr. Ferebee.”
Northwest Base Supervisor Lee Powell says the breakfast caught him off guard but he was grateful. “It really brightened everyone’s day to have breakfast provided this morning, we really appreciate Dr. Ferebee.”
Special Assistant to the Superintendent, Joe Gramelspacher says the breakfast was provided by Dr. Ferebee to reward the Transportation employees for their dedication to IPS.
“It was critical to show appreciation to the hardworking employees who transport our students every day to and from school,” says Gramelspacher.
“I really appreciate all of our IPS Transportation employees, the breakfast was my way of saying thank you for your hard work and service,” says IPS Superintendent Dr. Lewis D. Ferebee.
