Some offerings have required registration and/or specific instructions on participation; please review thoroughly.
Below is the list of summer food service sites that will be open to the community. Sites 714, 716, 718 and 721 are June 6 – June 24. All others sites are open June 6 – July 22. Meals are available to any child, 18 years of age and younger, regardless of enrollment within IPS*.
This year, operations are returning to pre-pandemic rules and regulations. All meals must be consumed on site. No meals served June 20 and July 4.

Our friends at The Indianapolis Public Library invite all IPS students to join in their annual Summer Reading Program, “Camp Read S’more”! Regular reading is an important part of student development, and participants can win great prizes too!

Free Summer Meals for Kids at the Library
Children 18 and under can pick up a free meal at their nearest Library branch location. Meals are provided in partnership with Indy Parks and Recreation, Indianapolis Public Schools, Wayne Township Schools, and Perry Township Schools. 2022 IndyPL Author Fair
The Indy Author Fair, taking place Saturday, August 6, 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., at Central Library, allows writers and readers to meet and network with up-and-coming Indiana authors and add to their writing toolbox by taking part in writing workshops led by experts. This all-ages event is free and open to the public, and authors will have books on hand to sell and sign. It’s the perfect opportunity to update your personal library! Learn more.
Homeschool Fair at Central Library
Are you considering homeschooling, new to it, or are looking for new ideas? Visit the Homeschool Fair at Central Library on Saturday, July 30, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Enjoy keynotes by Lilly scientist Guy Hansen and local author Teresa Robeson, 25+ vendors, pop-up activities, giveaways, and more!
Northamptonshire Art Exhibit
The Library is celebrating our sister city’s relationship with Northamptonshire County with an exhibit featuring all things Northamptonshire. The exhibit, open at Central Library July 4 – July 29, will include original Northamptonshire and Indianapolis artwork by Alex Neckopulos.
