Indianapolis Public Schools will award diplomas to about 50 students on Sept. 29 during the Class of 2021 Summer Graduation ceremony.
The event begins at 6 p.m. in the Gene R Poston Auditorium at Broad Ripple High School. All persons are required to wear masks, regardless of vaccination status. Paper masks will be available.
The annual program is for students who complete their graduation requirements after the summer school session. This year’s program included graduates from Arsenal Tech, Crispus Attucks, George Washington, and Shortridge high schools.
Dr. Aleesia Johnson, IPS superintendent, will welcome the audience. Dr. Nathalie Henderson, chief of schools officer, will give the keynote address.
The tassel ceremony will be directed by Dr. Johnson and closing remarks provided by Dr. Warren Morgan, chief academics officer.
