Dozens of students from across the district have worked for months and they will have finally have a chance to show off their talents. On Saturday, November 15 and Sunday, November 16 our students will compete in the City of Indianapolis VEX Robotics Championships.

The ultimate goal? Win, of course.

Last year IPS Career Center students took home the top prize in the competition and are hoping for repeat. Center for Inquiry School 84 took home the “Energy Award” for having the most spirit at the competition and you can expect them to be back in full force this year.

There’s a new factor to the competition this year – elementary students. This will be the first year that the city has opened the competition up to our elementary schools and they are ready to compete. Several schools like Cold Spring have been ready for competition since the beginning of October.

Check out the competition this weekend at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Opening ceremonies begin on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. and continue through Sunday. The agendas for each competition level can be found here.

Good luck to all our schools as they compete this weekend!
