On April 1, the Indiana State Board of Education approved plans for Arlington High School to transition back to Indianapolis Public Schools. IPS will collaborate with transformation specialists Mass Insight Education to improve academic outcomes for students at the school beginning with the 2015-2016 school year. IPS will provide quarterly performance updates to the State Board. State Board members stated that plans to end intervention efforts at the school would require a future vote pending steady improved performance and a plan to sustain progress.
The State Board also approved a plan for IPS to work with Charter Schools USA on shared oversight of Emma Donnan Middle School.
