We are thrilled to announce a significant development at James Whitcomb Riley School 43. Crishell Sam has been appointed as the school’s new principal, bringing with her a wealth of experience and a passion for education.

Currently serving as the interim principal of Arsenal Technical High School within the Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) district, Ms. Sam will be completing her tenure at Arsenal Technical High School before transitioning to James Whitcomb Riley School 43 in June. Her return to the school holds a special significance for her, as it marks a homecoming to the place where she began her career with IPS as a sixth-grade teacher.

This appointment represents an exciting new chapter for the school and its students. Ms. Sam’s passion for education, extensive experience, and deep connection to the school make her the ideal leader to guide James Whitcomb Riley School 43 towards continued growth and success.
