When schools throughout the country celebrate the 100th day of school varies, depending on when they started, the number of inclement weather days used, professional development days and more.
However, most celebrate in February, usually around Valentine’s Day. These celebrations often include students and staff dressing up like 100-year-olds and participating in a host of other activities using the number 100.
William McKinley School 39 is just one of the IPS schools that recently celebrated this special day. Students in all grades participated. Some dressed up, others used the day to do hands-on activities that focused on counting to 100, including the school’s kindergarten students.
