Starting September 11, some Riverside School 44 fourth graders are going to be riding something other than the bus after school. Thanks to a partnership with IU Health up to 40 students will participate in a bike club after school. The 4th graders involved in the club received the bikes from IU Health during a day of service in the spring.

Each week the club will meet in the gym so they can continue even if the weather is bad. Students will alternate between riding onsite at Riverside and out in the community. IU Health volunteers will ride with the students.

Indianapolis Public Schools is thankful for IU Health’s partnership with Riverside on this club. What a great opportunity for these IPS students to start the healthy habit of exercise and have some fun while doing it!
