FAFSA | Free Application for Federal Student Aid | 12th Graders Begin Your Application Today!

What is FAFSA? FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and is the only way to apply for federal student aid. Click HERE to learn more about the program.

Who can apply? Most students are eligible to receive financial aid from the federal government to help pay for college or career school. Your age, race, or field of study won’t affect your eligibility for federal student aid. While your income is taken into consideration, it doesn’t automatically prevent you from getting federal student aid.

What colleges accept financial aid? Career schools (e.g., trade, apprenticeship, journeyman), two-year community colleges and four-year colleges accept financial aid. Determine what’s best for your career goals.

What type of aid is available? The FAFSA will help determine what types of aid you are eligible to receive, including:

  • Grants
  • Loans
  • Work-Study

When can I apply? Each October, the FAFSA is available for the next school year. It is best to fill it out as early as you can as some aid is on a first-come, first-served basis. The application deadline is June 30, 2022.
