Melissa White, currently serving as assistant principal for Paul I. Miller will transition to the principal of Paul Miller in the fall.
White has over five years experience working in the district, starting as a teacher at Brookside School 54 and working her way up to assistant principal at Paul I. Miller.
“I am excited and honored to have been chosen as the Instructional Leader for Paul I. Miller for the upcoming school year,” White said. “Paul I. Miller is an exceptional school that offers a multitude of opportunities for our students and families. I look forward to continuing that mission and growing the existing opportunities that will allow our students to become life-long lovers of learning.”
Jeremy Baugh, an experienced educator from Phalen Leadership Academy (PLA) and Mill Creek Community Schools will join the IPS team this coming year as principal of Lew Wallace.
During his tenure at PLA, Baugh was able to increase student performance in literacy and math and also doubled the enrollment for the charter school. He also has experience in developing rich intervention models for curriculum and technology plans.
“I am excited to be a part of the team at Lew Wallace,” Baugh said. “I cannot wait to meet the parents, students, and staff. I look forward to working with community partners to create an exceptional learning environment at Lew Wallace.”
