the Third Annual Showcase of
from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Nov. 19 at the Indiana State Museum, 650 W.
Washington St.


From our growing roster of choice (magnet) programs to
high-quality innovation, autonomy and traditional schools, it’s all here!


Showcase of Schools is our chance to show the community why
so many families are choosing IPS, and why you should, too.


Throughout the day, this free and informative event will
include representatives from our 60-plus schools, including some of our newest
STEM additions (Purdue Polytechnic High School and Longfellow Middle School),
located throughout the museum’s three levels. These representatives will be
available to answer questions you might have about their respective schools and


Showcase of Schools also kicks of the application widow to
our coveted choice (magnet) programs. We recently updated our choice program
proximity boundaries and lottery selection process to encourage greater
diversity in these rigorous and rewarding schools. Showcase visitors will also have
a chance to speak with our teams providing wraparound support services
including special education; transportation; English as a Second Language
(ESL); graduation services and more!


Attracting thousands of residents each year, Showcase of
Schools is not just a day of information, it’s also a day full of fun and
freebies, including:
  • Live radio remotes from WTLC (106.7-FM) and
    Radio Latina (107.1-FM).
  • Free raffles held throughout the day, including
    the Explore
    Indy Prize Package
    featuring tickets to some of the most popular events in
    town — including tickets to a Pacers game, the Indianapolis School of Ballet’s
    “The Nutcracker” and the Indianapolis Zoo’s Christmas at the Zoo.
  • Exciting panel discussions, including a Teen
    Summit featuring IPS students, and a Digital Safety Forum moderated by FOX-59’s
    Fanchon Stinger.
  • Performances by some of our talented IPS
    students, including from Edison School of the Arts School 47, Broad Ripple High
    School for the Arts and Humanities, and Charles W. Fairbanks School 105.
  • Free flu shots for students.
  • On-site choice/lottery application
  • Free transportation to the Indiana State Museum
