Summer Servings is back!  When our Indianapolis Public Schools students get hungry from bike riding, swimming or playing with their friends this summer, Summer Servings locations are there to help.
Summer Servings offers nutritious meals in a supervised atmosphere at no cost for children ages 18 and under at several sites around Marion County.
Sites are in a variety of locations—parks, schools (including some IPS schools), community centers, churches, even apartment complexes. The focus is on being as available as possible to families. Students just go to one of the sites, have a great meal with friends and get the energy they need for the day. Many locations can be easily recognized by the Summer Servings signs displayed.
Although the menu differs from site to site, the basic lunch includes one serving of milk, two or more servings of vegetables and/or fruits, one serving of grain or bread and one serving of meat or meat alternative.
Over the years this program has helped over one million children enjoy a healthy, nutritious summer. The program runs through July 31.
