Preschool fairs flyer Indianapolis Public Schools is thrilled to welcome the next wave of young scholars to our vibrant community! The application window for our Pre-Kindergarten program opens on March 18, and we’re holding a pair of events to help parents through the application process. The best thing about our application this year: it’s online! You can begin the process from your computer, tablet, or smartphone at any time once the window opens.
 
IPS is proud to announce we’re adding several new Pre-K classes, including five completely new sites. That means nearly half of our schools will host our youngest students in the 2015-16 school year!
 
Seats in our Pre-K classes will be filled by a lottery selection, so it’s important to submit your application before our April 10 deadline to ensure you have the best chance at your first choice of schools. Enrollment in any remaining open seats will continue through the summer.
 

You may begin the application process online, but families enrolling a new student in Pre-K will need:

  • Student’s birth certificate
  • Complete immunization records
  • Proof of residence (a lease or utility bill showing your name and current address)
  • Picture ID for the parent or guardian
These documents may be submitted in-person or by email; you will be contacted by our enrollment experts after submitting an electronic application to complete the final steps in the process.
