IPS Partners with the Lilly Foundation on STEM Learning Videos

Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS), the Lilly Foundation and Lilly have partnered to help IPS students learn STEM experiments with short, easy-to-follow videos. These experiments are a part of Lilly’s virtual Global Day of Service.

For the first time, Lilly launched a virtual Global Day of Service with STEMPalooza. The project took nearly six weeks to complete and consists of fun and engaging educational STEM related experiments led by Lilly volunteers.

Lilly has been a vocal and consistent advocate of supporting communities, including where a majority of IPS students live and work. This year has been an incredibly challenging time for many because of the pandemic and as a result, Lilly felt it was important to continue to serve in a safe yet impactful way.

“Lilly and IPS have had a long-standing relationship, and that relationship has only strengthened in recent years with opportunities like the Global Day of Service, which allows our employees to give back to students in meaningful ways, including getting them excited about real world STEM applications,“ said Al White, Vice President, Lilly Foundation.

Access to the STEMPalooza videos is limited to IPS students and teachers via one of the district’s virtual learning portals.
