In an effort to keep staff and students safe and healthy, Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) is offering voluntary COVID testing in several schools, with more sites to be added.
The district will use iHealth tests at some school locations and BinaxNOW tests at other school locations. In addition, the district is providing onsite before and after-school PCR and rapid testing at Arsenal Technical High School and Broad Ripple High School.
The testing sites are available to IPS staff, students and families, as well as the general public (see the locations and testing options below).
“We recognize the challenges our staff and families have faced accessing COVID testing,” said Megan Carlson, IPS director of health services. “To improve access IPS, has committed to providing testing at all our school locations. We know adding this service in addition to our current mitigation measures will only improve the health and safety of our schools and community.”
For schools that do not have testing, IPS staff, students and families will need to coordinate accessing the schools with testing.
Parents can reach out to their student’s school for more details about the testing options and consent forms.
Please note that more locations will be added as they are confirmed.
