start of the 2016-17 school year!
The first day of school is August 1. Our
Back to School website is filled with
helpful information for families
as our scholars prepare to return to our friendly halls, including school supply
lists and handbooks.

Our well-versed team members in the IPS Service Center are putting in extra hours to ensure all of our families have access to bus route information for a smooth start to the school year. On Saturday, July 30, and Sunday, July 31, from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., our friendly Service Center Associates will be on the phone lines to assist families with transportation questions. The health
and safety of our students and staff is paramount, and our health services team
has important information to share regarding immunizations. We have new
requirements for the 2016-2017 school year: All students entering Kindergarten,
First or Second Grade are required to have two doses of Hepatitis A vaccine
(Hep A).

important note – after August 25, students whose immunization records are
incomplete will not be able to attend school until vaccine records are provided
by a guardian.

! The Rev. Dr. Preston Adams is
organizing high five rallies to start the day at our elementary schools with an
inspiring high five tunnel supported by local professionals. The
initiative begins on the first day of school (August 1) at Elder W. Diggs
School 42. Future rallies will take place on the following dates:
