Every year on March 17 people around the globe observe St. Patrick’s Day – a holiday that began as a religious feast day for the patron saint of Ireland to commemorate his passing. Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day has become an American tradition that is enjoyed by many Indianapolis Public Schools staff, students and families. Yesterday our students joined the city celebration in the annual Indianapolis St. Patty’s Day Parade.


This year the John Marshall High School ROTC Battalion, Marching Band and Dance Team participated in the parade, as well as the Crispus Attucks High School Band and Tigerette Dancers. Missed the action? Don’t be green with envy, we saved some pictures of yesterday’s fun for you:
