We know providing attractive benefits is one way to let employees know they’re valued; that’s why we’re thrilled to share the perks of our new healthcare partnership with Anthem!

 

One of the highlights of our newly enhanced employee benefits is the option for Indianapolis Public Schools employees and their families to visit any site in the MyClinic network at no cost. There are six MyClinic locations conveniently located around our city, with another set to open this spring. Members of the IPS healthcare plan can visit the clinics for preventative care, urgent care, pediatric urgent care, lab work and wellness checks. After registering online, families can make an appointment, getting into the office and addressing their healthcare needs easily – but don’t take our word for it; here’s a testimonial from Special Education staff member Allison Sutherland:

 

“It was one of the most painless/pleasant experiences I have ever had while visiting a doctor’s office.  Their staff was wonderful.  The appointment was pretty quick and I left the office with my prescriptions.  There was no need for me to make an extra stop at the pharmacy, which sounds small but is a big deal when you are not feeling well.

 

Thank you for making this service available.  Over the last several years, I have rarely gone to the doctor, probably skipping it when I really should have gone, because it was hard to get an appointment or I did not want to miss work.  While I went during work hours while out on a sick day today, I am encouraged and believe that I will take better care of myself in the future, knowing that the clinics have evening and weekend hours available.

Not only are employees noticing the convenience of the MyClinic network; they’ve noticed another big difference from the common clinic – physicians are on a regular schedule, and these clinics are their home base. When scheduling an appointment at a nearby location, it’s clear which doctor you’ll see – just like at a primary care facility!
