Indianapolis Public Schools is proud to have the support of
an amazing community partner in the Indianapolis Colts. Players regularly make
appearances at our schools, and many of the team’s community initiatives
positively impact the lives of our students throughout each year. We are
honored to be chosen as the site for the Colts’ annual community playground
build at Floro Torrence School 83!

This is the eighth consecutive year that the team has chosen
a deserving Indianapolis school to receive a brand new playground! The building
crew has collaborated with school administrators to design the best fit for
Floro Torrence’s space and needs. This playground will provide a fun and safe
play space for students and the surrounding community year-round.

Principal Heather Haskett said, “Floro
Torrence School 83 and our community have been blessed!  We are
excited about the opportunity to work with the Colts and community
partners to build and enhance our playground and
grounds areas, creating a safe place for play, fitness, fun and
learning for all.  Thank you, Colts!”

In September, nearly 200 volunteers from the Indianapolis
Colts, Lucas Oil Products, Ingredion Incorporated, and Indiana Farm Bureau
Insurance will join with Rebuilding Together
Indianapolis and Sinclair Recreation to build a new, safe playground and
beautify the grounds at Floro Torrence.

We are so glad to have strong community partners for this
playground transformation, and we can’t wait for next month’s build day!
