Shareyna Chang, director for school quality, is participating in the Stanley K. Lacy (SKL) executive leadership program, which is designed to develop and elevate the next generation of leaders for central Indiana.
Chang and her classmates will meet monthly through June, interacting with local leaders, professional experts, and community decision-makers to discuss a range of community issues.
“Participating in SKL will allow me to address the needs of our community, increase the opportunities to be an agent of change, and learn how to use my skills and influence to be a more effective community leader,” said Chang, who has been in her current role with IPS since 2018.
The 25 members of SKL’s 45th class were selected because of their significant community involvement and professional achievement; their demonstrated interest in community issues; a record of participation and achievement in voluntary community activities; and their willingness to expand their leadership role in the community.
