Indianapolis Colts Build Playground at Francis W. Parker School 56

The Indianapolis Colts have been building playgrounds at local schools since 2008.

On Monday, Sept. 16, nearly 200 volunteers — including Colts staff, football players, and a host of community partner volunteers — endured the soaring temperatures to build playground No. 12 at Francis W. Parker School 56, an IPS Montessori school.

In addition to the playground, an outdoor classroom filled with large rocks that double as seating, was also gifted to the students and staff.

Because the school has a large population of students withy Autism, this playground features a sensory wall, a merry-go-round with actual seats, and a swing set that includes a couple of swings with harnesses.
