Indiana Fever hip hop Inferno dancer reads to students at the library. Our friends at the Indiana Fever organized a fun event to help emphasize the importance of reading to Indianapolis Public Schools students. The Fever teamed up with the Indianapolis Public Library to host a special reading event for the 3rd grade classes from Center for Inquiry School 2.

It’s important for our students to know reading and learning is a lifelong journey. This partnership with the Indiana Fever and the Indianapolis Public Library gave young readers a great opportunity to see local role models stretch their reading muscles after a long day on the basketball court.

Fever players Briann January and Karina Christmas and Inferno Hip Hop Squad members Brian and Shelise headed to the library after practice today to read to the eager students of IPS. We appreciate these local stars taking the time to share their love of reading with our students!
