Over the weekend, students and families at George W. Julian School 57 got together to create an “Ofrenda” for Day of the Dead that will be displayed at the Indiana State Museum.

A student from George Julian School 57 stands with the "Ofrenda" the school created for Dia de los Muertos.

The Indiana State Museum requested that George W. Julian participate and contribute their Ofrenda, which will go into the museum’s “Día de los Muertos”exhibit.

The altar exhibit will kick-off with LatinoFest this Saturday, September 27, and continues through the month of October, culminating in the museum’s annual Día de los Muertos program on Saturday, October 25.

Be sure to swing over to the Indiana State Museum this month to check out the exhibit! You can find more information at www.indianamuseum.org.
