Parents not only met their children’s teachers but also met with representatives from local community organizations that serve the school.
“This event will serve as a bridge to bring the school and community together,” said George Buck Parent Involvement Educator Tina Flynn about planning the PIT Day activities. “We want the community to know that we are here and for all to recognize the need to work together in order to achieve the best results for our students.”
Representatives from the Boys and Girls Club, Boy Scouts of America and Girl Scouts of Central Indiana were on hand for the event. There was also a fire truck from Indianapolis Fire Department and the Indiana Pacers Fan Van.
