Superintendent Ferebee reacts to recent media scrutiny of George Washington Community High School:

“This is not a school where everyone fights all day. This narrative is unfair to the students, staff and leaders at the school. George Washington is not being characterized as the learning environment it truly is. Immediately following questions about the school climate at Washington, the media accepted our invitation to visit the school during the instructional day to walk the halls and meet with the principal. In light of that, I am very disappointed in the decision to craft an inaccurate persona of the school based on one-sided commentary.”
