Allyson Peterkin, the principal at Daniel Webster Elementary 46, is a finalist for the Classroom Quarterback Award presented by the Indianapolis Colts and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield.

The award recognizes school teachers, administrators, nurses, and staff members who go above and beyond for their students, schools, and communities. Finalists were selected by a panel of educational professionals, the Indianapolis Colts, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. 

The announcement will be made in the middle of May.

One finalist will be named the Classroom Quarterback of the year and receive a $2,500 donation for his or her school.

Finalists were selected on such criteria as the amount of involvement in school and/or community, degree of positive impact on the school and/or community, and demonstrated commitment to education, health and wellness initiatives, and other programming.

In addition to the $2,500 donation to the school, the Classroom Quarterback of the Year will receive a $100 Amazon gift card for school supplies, four tickets to the first regular-season home game of the 2022 season, Colts merchandise, and a surprise visit from the Colts.
