A decision by the Indiana State Board of Education paves the way for Indianapolis Public Schools to welcome Arlington High School back to our administration beginning with the 2015-16 school year. On December 3, the Board voted unanimously to allow Indianapolis Public Schools to regain control of Arlington.

IPS is drafting a plan for our new “transformation zone” including Arlington, Broad Ripple Magnet High School for the Arts and Humanities, George Washington Community High School and John Marshall Community High School. The plan will be presented to the Board of Education in January. This new model will allow IPS administration more oversight as we work closely with our lead partners at Broad Ripple, George Washington, and John Marshall.
